Sarah has three years' experience as a freelance editor working on both topical material and a wide variety of essays, reviews and new writing. Sarah approaches her work with well honed analytic and creative thinking skills; capable of distilling the ideas of a piece whilst teasing out its underlying argument. Sarah believes a good editor is on the writer's side, working to clarify their ideas and better communicate them to readers. A perfectionist with words, Sarah is obsessive over detail, making the essential minor changes, while keeping the bigger picture in mind. Sarah's main interests lie with the arts and social sciences, and she has good understanding of philosophy, sociology and politics. Sarah has previously worked at TSL Education, the UK's largest educational publisher and for a leading investigative journalist. Sarah is currently contributing Assistant Editor of Culture Wars online review - www.culturewars.org.uk - and writes regularly on society and the arts.
